In 2012 I started Cliff Dwellers Consulting based on a market need to provide realistic comprehensive data solutions that were both legally sound and defensible in a cost effective and timely manner. At Cliff Dwellers I have assumed different roles such as Managing Director of Information Governance; and at times served as CIO/CISCO to enterprises that needed expert advice while transitioning to fortified solutions. My extensive experience provided the assurance that organizations need while ensuring their data and team members across the enterprise are protected while also being compliant and secure.

When Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Improvement Act of 2016 was enacted, many government agencies sought my expertise to assist in finding a solutions to be brought into compliance with this new law. FOIA requires US governmental agencies to provide access to data in response to citizen’s requests. This access needs to be completed in a timely manner. Given the nonstructured nature of much of the agency’s data this task seemed impossible and unmanageable. My extensive background in data access, storage, security, and privacy made me well suited to advise solutions that were unique to each client needs.
