Noonan served as President and Vice President of the Beverly Improvement Association.
The Beverly Improvement Association was founded in 1917, BIA is one of the oldest civil organizations in Chicago. We remain committed to serving Beverly residents by informing and improving the quality of life in our neighborhood. The BIA’s board of directors and officers are your neighbors and friends, advocating to preserve and enhance the many amazing assets thar exist within our neighborhood.
Each year our organization hosts events designed to bring neighbors together to celebrate our people and our community assets, including our Clean and Green and Bird Watch/Nature Hike events in the Spring, Summertime Movies in the Park and a neighborhood Bicycle Treasure Hunt, our Community Garage Sale, Fall Fest, and Family Bike Rides in Autumn, and See and Ski cross-country skiing in the Dan Ryan Woods.
Additionally, our annual Walter Pilditch Memorial Service Awards recognize community service and leadership demonstrated by students at local elementary schools. The BIA also collaborates with the Beverly Area Planning Association, the 95th Street Business Association, and the Maggie Cosme Park Advisory Council, to promote and support local businesses and invest in and enhance our community.
Study on Traffic issues in the North Beverly Area
Created an in depth study on reported traffic accidents using the City of Chicago’s Data portal and reported issues throughout the studied area by survey.
